How It works
Each rubber duck you receive or purchase has a mission for you. To unlock this mission, create an account and enter the serial number (on the tag) in your dashboard missions tab. These missions arrive by mail, so wait patiently (typically arrives in 3 - 7 business days).
Completing these missions is critical to earning the Pondkeepers' trust. Each mission you complete tells a piece of the story. In your dashboard, you will be able to keep track of all of your active missions, along with the evidence you have collected along the way.
Once your task is done, your duck has fulfilled its purpose. But its journey does not end—it must find another. Pass it to a stranger, a friend, or leave it where another may stumble upon it.
FAQ:
Do these ducks track my location?
No! Rubber ducks are not tracked! We do not collect any geo-location data while you play this game or any data from your phone etc.
Can I buy a single duck?
As of now, no. If you would like to receive ducks you must purchase a Duck and Mission Plan or receive them from a friend or stranger.
What if I can't or don't complete a mission?
If a mission is simply too difficult, you are more than welcome to make substitutions—so long as they stay in the spirit of the game. For example, if a mission requires you to hike a considerable distance and you're unable to do so, you may shorten the length or choose a different outdoor activity altogether. The goal is to encourage adventure and wonder for the world around us, not to cause stress.
